The Breath Behind All Things
A Manifesto for the Living Spirit - Part I
“We did not create the heavens and the earth and everything between them in play!”
21:16
We believe in One —
the Axis of all Being,
the Emblem of Perfection,
the Mind behind the stars,
the Purpose that gives meaning to the dust,
the Silent Witness within the heart.
He is “with you wherever you are” 57:4,
“closer than the jugular vein” 50:16,
and “knows even the most stealthy glance of the eyes,
and all the secrets concealed by the hearts!” 40:19
Without Him,
existence becomes a wandering void,
the cosmos a captive of blind chance,
and man — a beast refined, a “super-animal” crowned with arrogance.
Faith in God is not a notion — it is a fire,
an inner spring from which the soul draws its breath.
Doctrine sketches symbols on sand,
but Revelation paints with light upon the soul.
“If you obeyed the majority of those on Earth,
they would lead you astray.
They follow nothing but speculation,
and they are merely guessing!” 6:116
This faith — the Qur’an paints with colors divine,
while the theology books of abstraction leave hearts barren —
dry ink upon a cold page, shadows and nothing more.
